How does the fund operate?
The Springboard Fund investment decisions are considered by an Investment Panel of six people. Four of these are business people from the area who have considerable knowledge and experience of the economy of Devon and Cornwall. The other two members of the Investment Panel are a senior representative of the South West Regional Development Agency (South West RDA), and a senior representative of Peninsula Enterprise, which delivers the Business Link service in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon and Somerset.
The Investment Panel will consider proposals that meet the minimum criteria and decide if, in their collective opinion, a particular proposal is worthy of investment from the Fund, in line with the Eligibility Criteria. Any recommendation for investment will be ratified by both a representative of Inspiras Ltd, who administer the fund, and by a senior member of South West RDA.
